This special project has been implemented in response to the wishes of HM The Queen, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Sirindhorn and the late HRH Princess Mother. The main aim is to collect more than 500 types of native orchids which have become rare and almost extinct, to cultivate and propagate them for conservation and afterwards, return them to nature in various forest areas around the country. In addition, the project supports and promotes both public and private organizations, educational institutions, temples or communities who desire to implement activities of such nature. The project also provides services to students and the general public to learn about Thai orchids including plant tissue culture, greenhouse cultivation and forest transfer preparation.
