The Office of the University Farm of Maejo University is located in an area of 5,890 rai and is found in two sites: 4,590 rai in Sansai District; and 1,300 rai in Phrao District. The area in Sansai is divided into sub-areas that are planted with fruit trees, vegetables and rubber trees, with bio-organic fertilizer production and selection/packing of vegetables. Aside from crop production, the farm serves as a research site for MJU staff and also includes a training ground used to provide both theoretical and practical knowledge and internship to farmers while also serving as field practicum and study tour area for local and foreign visiting students. In addition, agro-ecotourism-related services and activities are conducted by MJU and Ban Pong Community Tourism Development Center.
The Office of Maejo University Park and Farm has been able to successfully manage the farms commercially and now has the capacity to transfer diverse agricultural knowledge and technology through work internships and actual practice to students from various educational institutions in agriculture and other related fields of study.
