Maejo University President attends graduation ceremony at Vanung University and visits agrotourism farm in Taiwan

On 17 – 21 June 2016, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chamnian Yosraj, President, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Weerapon Thongma, Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relations and the Director of the Tourism Training and Consulting Service Center, visited Taiwan ROC for a business trip.

On 17 June 2016, the delegates were warmly greeted by Prof. Dr. Thomas C. Chuang, the President of Vanung University. During the meeting both parties agreed to further promote academic activities for mutual interests. This included curriculum development and exchange programs. President Chuang graciously presided over the graduation ceremony of 38 Thai students from Maejo University. The program was an academic collaboration between the two universities. The Thai students enrolled at Maejo University for their first year of study. Then they went to Vanung University to complete the rest of their course. The graduating students achieved academic excellence as well as high Chinese proficiency. At the end, President Chuang delivered a graduation speech and congratulated the students on their success. Among the attendees were Thai parents and relatives who were joining the ceremony.            

On 18 June 2016, President Yosraj attended the graduation ceremony of Vanung University. The President was one of the guests of honor delivering a congratulatory message to the graduating students. There were Taiwanese academics and Vanung University administrators attending the ceremony. On the stage, students performed, guests of honor congratulated the students, and degrees were handed to the students.       

On 19 – 20 June 2016, Maejo University delegates paid a visit to Toucheng Leisure Farm. The farm is well-known to both Taiwanese and international visitors for its good management and agrotourism. It is huge and located on a mountain with a spectacular view. It is also a learning center for agriculture and environmental conservation. There are activities for visitors, children and families.
